Dead Man’s Curve Wild Hot Rod Weekend

On September 5th, after about a month of dormancy, I took the short ride over to the Sheraton Crossroads Hotel in Mahwah, NJ, for the annual Dead Man’s Curve car show. Not an autograph show, but they usually get a couple of stars to appear alongside some of television’s most iconic vehicles. This year, Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider posed alongside the General Lee and Candy Clark took us back to ’62 with the yellow deuce coupe from American Graffiti.

Candy Clark ~ Debbie in American Graffiti. Surprisingly not too familiar with this film, but she had some beautiful 8x10s and I just had to get one for the collection. We also took a quick selfie.

John Schneider ~ I met the Dukes of Hazzard and Smallville star less than six months ago, but I felt the General Lee photo op was just too cool to pass up. After all, this was a car show.

Paul Teutul, Sr. ~ Star of the former reality series, American Chopper, Teutul was supposed to stick around for autographs and photos, but as far as I know, he did a radio interview and hit the road.

Overall, a good day. Cars aren’t really my thing, but this is so close to home and affordable, it is a great way to spend a day.
